Web Developer

Office Plus is looking to hire a full time Web Developer with a proven track record. This person must be a goal-oriented individual who possesses high integrity, strong organizational background, and wishes to apply their skills in a unique, high energy, positive team environment. Successful candidates must be self-starters interested in growing professionally/personally, with a positive attitude, a genuine interest in people, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Working with a team (designers, clients, project managers, etc, and other developers) to create compelling and cutting edge web sites and web applications.
• Responsible for turning design and user interface mockups into functional web sites.
• Responsible for utilizing and extending our current and future web management and web projects division
• Custom programming and web application development.
• Testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting for all client sites.
• Should prove to be a valuable technical resource for other team members & customers.

Requirements

• Independence, willingness to learn and problem solving skills are a must.
• At least two years of related work experience/education.
• Must be able to handle a fast-paced work environment, deadlines, and new challenges.
• Ability to communicate and work as part of a team.
• Have experience with Design elements and principles
• Have working knowledge of current Graphic packages used in the industry today.

Technical Skills

• Very familiar with W3C Web Standards and CSS based design
• Dynamic/Database Driven Development (PHP/MySQL)
• Experience with Content Management Systems. Knowledge of the Drupal API, themes and assets.
• JavaScript, especially jQuery/AJAX, is an asset
• Macromedia Flash/Action Scripting is an asset.
